Seneca’s style and aphorisms were very important for many writers of Modernity. For example Guicciardini and Montaigne, La Rochefoucauld and Leopardi until Nietzsche and Cesare Pavese. His fragments and thoughts by Moral letters to Lucilius are universal models of the approaches to life and philosophy, values and virtues, self-control and joy.
