Two letters written in 1926 from the classical scholar Giorgio Pasquali (Rome, 1885-Belluno, 1952) to the publisher La Nuova Italia are here printed and discussed. At the publisher’s request for two German books to be translated in Italian, Pasquali suggests Wilamowitz and Kromayer’s Staat und Gesellschaft der Griechen und Römer and Wissowa’s Religion und Kultus der Römer. Furthermore, Pasquali proposes to write a monograph about religion in Aeschylus, one of his most relevant research topics at the time.
